President Isaac Herzog eulogized actor Alon Aboutboul, whose death was confirmed earlier after he collapsed at Habonim Beach. Herzog said that Aboutboul was "a prominent and influential artist in Israeli culture who for many years captured the hearts of audiences in Israel and around the world with his rare talent that touched hearts, his sensitivity and his exceptional abilities." He added: "Alon was a person with a deep social worldview. Over the years, I was fortunate to have interesting conversations with him about Israeli society. Sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. May his memory be blessed."
