Five soldiers were lightly to moderately wounded in three separate incidents in the Gaza Strip. In the first incident, in Khan Younis, a combat engineer was moderately wounded after the vehicle he was in drove over an explosive device. In two other incidents, both occurring in the Zeitoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City, four soldiers were wounded. Three soldiers were lightly to moderately wounded in an encounter with militants on the outskirts of the neighborhood, and another soldier was moderately wounded by gunfire.
