Herzog: "We must establish a state commission of inquiry, its role is not political"

|
President Isaac Herzog said in a recording broadcast at the emergency conference of the "October Council" that "we must thoroughly study the failure and disaster, this terrible eclipse of reason, to understand, learn and draw conclusions." According to him, "we must establish a state commission of inquiry. This is the royal road. This is the right way that exists in the Israeli judicial system today. This should be done as soon as possible." He added that "the role of such a commission with a diverse and broad composition including various disciplines, as befitting the examination of a historic disaster of this magnitude, is not political."
