Professor Reshef Tenne is the Israel Prize laureate in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Research. This was announced by Education Minister Yoav Kish. The prize committee noted in its rationale that Prof. Tenne is one of the most important and prominent scientists to emerge in Israel. According to the committee, he has made an enormous contribution to materials research and physical and inorganic chemistry, and has led a scientific revolution in the field of two-dimensional single-layer nanometric materials for decades. The announcement also stated that "his work has established Israel's standing at the forefront of global scientific research."
