Hostage survivor Edan Alexander met with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office and told him that when Trump was elected president, Hamas' treatment of him in captivity improved. "They moved me to a new place, a good place. People did everything. They treated me really well," Alexander said. Trump responded to his remarks, saying, "Oh, so they treated you better? Wow. They weren't really afraid of Biden." Trump further added that it was "a terrible situation, so when we won, they gave you better treatment. We are very proud that it helped you. It was very important to the First Lady, the fact that you are American, it had a lot of impact here."
