Israeli defense company "Elbit Systems" has closed its offices in Bristol, UK, which had been targeted by protests and vandalism from anti-Israeli activists, according to the British "Guardian" newspaper. In one incident that occurred last year, anti-Israeli activists from the "Palestine Action" organization breached the facility's fence with a commercial vehicle, armed with axes, hammers and whips, and attacked police officers with hammer blows. Sources at Elbit claim that the report is incorrect and that the site was not closed due to protests: "Operations at the site in question ceased more than a year ago for commercial reasons. Work there is resumed according to contracts received in Britain. Elbit has several production sites in Britain, including a site in the area in question, which continue to operate normally."
