Yaki Hetz, hero of the battle for Ammunition Hill, recipient of the Medal of Valor and Israel Security Prize laureate, has passed away. Hetz was a pioneer in defense development and innovation, and during his work at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, he was instrumental in developing advanced combat systems and conceived the idea that led to the development of the 'Maoz' system, an advanced attack drone used by IDF fighters. In 2017, he was chosen to light a torch at the Independence Day ceremony. He was 80 years old at the time of his death.
