Court Rejects Mahane Yehuda Market Bar Owners' Petition on Independence Day Alcohol Sales

|
The Jerusalem District Court has rejected a petition from bar owners in the Mahane Yehuda Market, ruling that they will be prohibited from selling alcohol and playing music on Independence Day Eve. Zion District Commander, Chief Superintendent Shlomi Bachir, participated in the hearing and explained that the decision was made based on past experiences, including an incident during the recent Purim holiday when a near-disaster occurred as young people were almost crushed due to extreme crowd congestion.
