Interior Minister Moshe Arbel has appealed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requesting him not to cancel the invitation of Sakhnin Mayor Mazen Ganaim to tomorrow's meeting on crime in Arab society, as previously demanded by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. "It is inconceivable to promote processes to combat crime in Arab society while boycotting its legally elected leadership," Arbel wrote. Earlier, Ben-Gvir threatened not to attend the conference if Ganaim's invitation was not withdrawn, claiming that the mayor does not allow police to enter the city.
