Earlier today, the IDF eliminated a Hezbollah terror cell operating near the forward defense line area to prevent a direct threat to northern communities. According to an IDF spokesperson, "Forces from the 401st Brigade Combat Team identified a terror cell that violated the ceasefire understandings and approached the forces in a manner posing an immediate threat. In a rapid closing of the loop and to remove the threat, the Air Force struck and eliminated the terrorists. Additionally, the IDF struck south of the forward defense line, an underground shaft and terrorists from the Hezbollah terror organization as they were identified entering the shaft, and a hit was confirmed. The IDF operates in accordance with political echelon directives and is authorized to take the necessary measures for self-defense against threats."
