President Isaac Herzog spoke at the opening ceremony of the Knesset Museum and said, "I have no doubt what Ben-Gurion and Begin would say together, and I also state firmly here: Israel has always strived and will always strive for peace with its neighbors, including Palestinians." Herzog added that "when Israel fights cruel terrorism, it does so for the sake of peace and for the free world. The declarations by Australia and other countries are a reward for terrorism, and they are a reward for the enemies of freedom, liberty and democracy."
