The prosecution today filed a precedent-setting indictment against Issam Jarushi, a 30-year-old from Ramla and senior figure in a crime organization, after he violated 15 times within about a month the order imposed on him that prevented him from entering the cities of Ramla, Lod, Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, restricted his use of phones and prohibited him from contacting individuals suspected of being connected to the crime organization. The indictment also charges Jarushi with destroying evidence. This is the first time an indictment has been filed for violations of a judicial restriction order imposed under the Law for Protection of the Public from Crime Organizations.
