Report: Over 60 US fighter jets deployed in Jordan, air defense systems installed

|
Satellite imagery and flight tracking data indicate that the U.S. military has deployed more than 60 fighter jets at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, and that at least 68 transport aircraft have landed there since Sunday, the New York Times reported. It is claimed that the number of aircraft stationed at the base is three times the routine amount. The report noted that advanced F-35 fighter jets are visible at the location, alongside drones and helicopters, compared to the aircraft routinely stationed there. It was also reported that new air defense systems have been installed at the base, aimed at protecting it from Iranian missiles in the event of war.
