Eisenkot officially announces: I will leave National Unity party and resign from Knesset

MK Gadi Eisenkot has informed National Unity party chairman Benny Gantz of his intention to leave the National Unity party and return his mandate to the party. This was announced by the National Unity party. It was further stated that "the two emphasize that they share a long-standing friendship and great mutual respect, and that they will continue to cooperate for the sake of common goals and for the people of Israel in the future."
