Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman said at the start of his faction meeting that "yesterday's Cabinet decision to expand the war is a political decision, a coalition decision that harms national security." According to him, "this government has no red lines. This government is willing to pay any price for power, even at the cost of hostages' or soldiers' lives." Liberman added: "Six million were murdered in concentration camps, Netanyahu is doing the same thing today - first we'll defeat Hamas, then we'll talk about rescuing the hostages, that's the claim."
