The Home Front Command unusually contacted the High Court of Justice on Saturday regarding a request to exempt protests across the country from assembly restrictions due to the war. In its statement, it was noted that approval is only for 150 protesters in Tel Aviv and 50 elsewhere in the country. The Association for Civil Rights requested an urgent hearing in a few hours, arguing that nothing has changed in the responses from the police and Home Front Command that prevent protests during wartime. The High Court demanded a response from the Home Front Command by 2:00 p.m. in an ex parte proceeding regarding their objection.
