Supreme Court rejects petition against releasing terrorists in war-ending deal

|
The Supreme Court rejected a petition against the release of terrorists as part of the agreement to end the war and free 48 hostages held in Gaza, stating that "the petition concerns a decision of clear political-security nature." Justices Yael Willner, Gila Canfy-Steinitz, and Alex Stein determined that "the issue at the heart of the petition - whose complexity and sensitivity cannot be disputed - is not within the legal domain." They added that "the decision rests on the government's shoulders, and the court must refrain from interfering. Therefore, the petition is rejected."
