After lengthy negotiations, the United States and the European Union have reached an understanding regarding tariffs on goods. EU countries that want to export their goods to the U.S. will face tariffs of 15%, while American goods imported to the European Union will not be subject to tariffs. U.S. President Donald Trump said, "This is the biggest deal ever. The European Union will make investments totaling $600 billion in the United States, including in energy and in the purchase of American military equipment." Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, added that "the deal will bring stability."
