Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed in his testimony the conversations he held with Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes, stating that 'this is part of the relationship between journalism and politicians, it happens all the time - and it became an indictment only against me.' When asked by his attorney Amit Hadad how much he wanted 'all media outlets to become like Israel Hayom,' Netanyahu responded: 'That wasn't my approach, that's not what I thought. People told me to 'shut them down, Yedioth Ahronoth, the others.' But I didn't want to shut them down, I wanted to diversify them.'
