Service organizations in letter to Edelstein: 'Do not lend a hand to surrender to radical minority at our expense'

|
Following the meeting between Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Edelstein and a representative of the ultra-Orthodox, the coalition of military service organizations sent him an "urgent letter" calling "to stop this improper process and return the discussion to a values-based decision rather than political agreements." According to them, "History will not forgive those who flee from making decisions and lend a hand to a surrender agreement to a radical minority at the expense of the serving majority. This is not about a draft law, but about a law regulating the status of those who do not serve, in order to continue avoiding shared burden."
