Eisenkot: 'Failed management by the October 7 government brought us here. Need immediate hostage deal'

|
Former IDF Chief of Staff and Knesset member Gadi Eisenkot addressed the footage of hostages in captivity released by Hamas and criticized the government. "As Chief of Staff, I never imagined that one day we would see images of dying Jews with no one to save them. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the October 7 cabinet ministers are responsible for an unforgivable failure and poor management of the war that has brought us to this point," he said. "They must convene immediately and make a Jewish, value-based, moral decision - to sign an immediate hostage deal, one comprehensive agreement, even at the price of a permanent ceasefire. We will complete Hamas's defeat, that is our duty."
