A combat helicopter and fighter jet of the United States crashed during "routine activity" in two separate incidents in the South China Sea, Southeast Asia. The five crew members aboard the aircraft were safely rescued. The US Pacific Fleet updated this in a post on the X platform, adding that the incidents occurred half an hour apart as part of routine operations from the aircraft carrier "Nimitz".
