Yesh Atid MK Ron Katz to resign from Knesset

MK Ron Katz will inform Knesset Speaker MK Amir Ohana that he has decided to resign from the Knesset. This was reported to Ynet. Katz joins other MKs from his party who have resigned or announced their retirement, including Boaz Toporovsky, Yaron Levi and Idan Roll. MK Elazar Stern is also expected to leave Yesh Atid and run for the Knesset as part of Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar! party. The party said: "We wish to thank MK Katz for years of significant, dedicated and principled public service." Party leader Yair Lapid said: "Ron, a longtime member of Yesh Atid and a pillar of the party's field organization, will continue to be a member of our extended family. I wish him success in his future endeavors."
