Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said that "the problems facing the American military in the region stem from mistakes made by American officials when attacking a sovereign state. The proper course of action for the U.S. is to recognize the facts, bear the consequences and withdraw from the region. This will make it more secure and bring the American people closer to prosperity." According to him, "Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is in its final stages of consolidation. We will not allow the Americans to take the initiative. We will take preventive action wherever we identify a threat. If Israel assists or attacks, we will strike it easily, quickly and forcefully, more than before."
