The Supreme Court ruled that journalist Omri Asenheim will not hand over the full raw materials of the interview he conducted with former prime ministerial adviser Eli Feldstein to the police. The panel of justices, consisting of Chief Justice Yitzhak Amit, Justice Alex Stein and Justice Khaled Kabub, overturned the decision of the Lod District Court. As part of the ruling, the Supreme Court determined that 'the scope of journalistic privilege, which has been recognized in case law, should be expanded so that this privilege also applies to information provided to a journalist 'off the record' or to raw materials obtained due to a relationship of trust formed between the journalist and the source.'
