The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment at the Be'er Sheva District Court against Yitzhak Lidan (19) from Ashdod and another minor, for attempted murder of a man who honked at them while they were riding an electric scooter in the middle of the road and blocking traffic. According to the indictment, last month the defendants were traveling through the streets of Ashdod when at one of the intersections the victim honked at them. In response, they decided to attack him and began following his vehicle, with Lidan carrying a knife. The victim, fearing the two, crossed an intersection at a red light in an attempt to escape them, but when he arrived at a parking lot and exited his vehicle, he noticed them running toward him. The indictment further states that a confrontation developed at the scene, during which the victim tried to return to his vehicle and Lidan pulled out a knife. After the two caught up with him, Lidan stabbed the victim in the abdomen, back and chest, and then also in his shoulder. The minor simultaneously beat him with his fists. Additionally, the indictment states that Lidan has a criminal record and that the minor defendant violated the terms of his house arrest.
