The Committee of University Research Heads responded to the threats to murder Israeli academics, published on an anonymous website called The Punishment For Justice Movement. "We are witnessing a dangerous and horrifying escalation, where a website is marking academic figures and calling for their blood through a 'price list' offering payment for burning cars, physical harm and even murder," the committee stated, noting that "this serious information was immediately forwarded for urgent handling by the Shin Bet, police and the National Cyber Directorate." The committee emphasized: "The writing is on the wall in bold letters."
