Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Boaz Bismuth sent a letter to IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, demanding he cancel the suspension of reserve Battalion 941, whose soldiers were filmed confronting a CNN crew in the West Bank. According to Bismuth, "The lack of backing from the system undermines the fighters' trust in it, erodes their spirit and sows dangerous hesitation among fighters required to act in the moment of truth." He argued that "this decision does not stop at harming the fighters themselves, it provides ammunition precisely to the false narrative promoted by Israel's enemies."
