A 17-year-old Israeli Arab resident of Beit Hanina has been identified as the attacker who carried out the assault at the Chain Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. Police reported that the officer who was stabbed noticed the suspect, whose behavior aroused suspicion, and proceeded to check him. During the inspection, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed the officer.
