Iranian media reported that the floating base "Kurdistan" and the destroyer "Sahand" have been returned to service, rejoining the naval fleet. The "Tasnim" news agency claimed that the purpose of this move is "to improve maritime combat capability, develop weapons suitable for threats, increase strategic penetration and achieve broader access to international waters." The destroyer, which was launched in 2018, sank last year during renovation work.
