The discussion is being held at the initiative of several countries, including Russia and China, which are promoting a draft resolution condemning the US and Israel. Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, responded sharply: "After decades of Iran trampling all supervision mechanisms of the international community - now they suddenly remember UN institutions and seek to condemn those who stopped their malicious programs. The US deserves no condemnation but rather appreciation and gratitude from all citizens of the world."
