In light of difficulties posed by ultra-Orthodox parties regarding approval of teachers' wage agreement, as revealed by ynet, the Teachers Union stated that "the framework we achieved for reducing salary cuts is an excellent achievement, which is why others now want it applied to them as well." The union added: "We are confident that the state will fully honor the signed agreement and implement it according to law."
