The IDF Spokesperson's Unit cleared for publication that Sgt. Aviad Elchanan Wolansky, 21, from Jerusalem, a fighter in the 77th Battalion of the Saar MiGolan Brigade (7th), fell in battle in southern Lebanon. Sgt. Wolansky was killed by anti-tank fire directed at a tank of the Golani Brigade's combat team forces operating in southern Lebanon. Additionally, two officer fighters and two fighters from the 77th Battalion were lightly wounded in the incident. They were evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and their families have been notified.
