The prosecution submitted two indictments to the Haifa District Court against eight defendants - Azmi Habish, Hiri Sharqia, Anan Halaf, Murad Salman, Nur Ganaim, Omar Handaklo, Mohanad Abu Ma'amar and Muhammad Ganaim - for weapons offenses and security violations. The main suspect, Azmi Habish, served in the Border Police for 15 years, and most of the merchandise he possessed and traded came from the IDF. According to the indictment, they conducted extensive weapons and ammunition trafficking operations, selling and transferring arms worth tens of thousands of shekels, including Glock pistols, Kalashnikovs, M16s and a grenade launcher, along with more than 10,000 bullets of various types, 44 magazines, 2 silencers, 27 M16 assemblies and dozens of additional weapon parts.
