Tens of thousands protest in Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, sister of Eviatar David: 'This must resonate around the world'

|
Tens of thousands are protesting at a rally in Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, which opened with a screening of footage showing Eviatar David in Hamas captivity. His sister Yaela spoke tearfully alongside her brother Ili: "Yesterday we saw our brother deliberately and cynically starved in a cell in Gaza. Israel and the international community must not remain silent or turn a blind eye to the deliberate starvation as part of Hamas's hunger campaign. There is no limit to the cruelty. The Israeli and Jewish voice must make this resonate in all corners of the world." Ili spoke in English, saying "Hamas is deliberately starving Eviatar. He and Guy (Dalal) are not symbols, bargaining chips or statistical data. They are human beings. They need to be saved."
