The European Union has imposed an additional package of sanctions on Russia, the 19th since the start of the war in Ukraine, which includes a ban on importing liquefied natural gas from Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: "This is a very important step for us. A ceasefire is possible, but additional pressure is needed."
