The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement in English saying that "Israel supports the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to suspend attacks for two weeks, contingent on Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz and ceasing fire." It also stated: "Israel supports the efforts of the United States to ensure that Iran does not have nuclear weapons and does not pose a threat, whether by missiles or by terror, to America, Israel, the Gulf states and the world." The Prime Minister's Office denies that the temporary ceasefire includes Lebanon, despite statements by senior security officials and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
