President Isaac Herzog met with Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, the spiritual leader of the Druze community in Israel, along with the chairman of the Druze and Circassian Local Councils Forum Yasser Gadban and former minister Salah Tarif. "We discussed the terrible massacre and criminal attacks against Druze in the as-Suwayda region in Syria," Herzog said. "The Druze community is an integral part of the State of Israel and Israeli society. We must stand by them and protect their sons and daughters, their relatives and loved ones. I call for doing everything possible to prevent deterioration."
