The Biblical Zoo addressed the incident in which an employee was attacked by a leopard, stating that "a very serious incident occurred at the zoo this morning when, during a routine enrichment preparation for the leopards, which was taking place as part of a behind-the-scenes tour for zoo visitors, a leopard managed to exit the leopard enclosure into the inner courtyard and attack one of the zoo employees who was preparing the activity. At no point was there any physical danger to visitors, who were protected behind a glass window. With the assistance of Israel Police, we are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation to understand how the leopard managed to escape into the courtyard. Our hearts are with the keeper and his family, and we are praying for good news."
