US report: Washington provided Israel with $21 billion in aid since war outbreak

|
The United States has provided Israel with military aid totaling $21.7 billion since the outbreak of the Gaza war. This finding comes from a new academic study published on the eve of the second anniversary of October 7, as part of Brown University's "Costs of War" project. Another study in the same project claimed that the US spent about $10 billion more on military equipment for the Middle East in the past two years. The report also reveals that the US provided about $18 billion in the first year of the war, when Joe Biden served as president. The State Department did not comment on the project's findings, and the White House referred questions to the Pentagon, which oversees only part of the aid.
