The Ministry of Health has ordered the vaccination of infants aged six months to one year against measles in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh due to the outbreak - before receiving the MMR vaccine at one year of age. In a letter sent to health funds and hospitals, it states that "the current measles outbreak is gaining momentum, with many patients and those hospitalized in serious condition." In recent days, four children have been reported hospitalized in intensive care due to measles complications, two of whom are connected to ECMO machines that simulate heart-lung function.
