Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman MK Yuli Edelstein addressed the coalition crisis and the draft law, saying, "The draft law outline I presented at yesterday's meeting is the same outline we have been discussing for over a year. A law without effective personal sanctions, with high recruitment targets and a high rate of increase - is not enlistment but evasion, which I have opposed all along." Edelstein added, "I am not in favor of dispersing the coalition or dismantling the government, and I do not share hatred toward our Haredi brothers. The opposite is true. The need of the hour is to promote an effective and genuine draft law."
