Reserve officer refused Gaza mission without armored vehicle - dismissed from unit

|
A reserve officer with the rank of captain, who served as a deputy company commander in a battalion of the Bislach Brigade, was recently dismissed from his unit after refusing to carry out a mission on the Morg axis in the southern Gaza Strip. According to information obtained by ynet, the officer refused because his commanders demanded he perform the mission without armored vehicles - using open Humvees instead. The officer refused to carry out a "road clearing" mission, which is a daily threat assessment considered dangerous, as it involves slow driving along the edges of the route to search for militants ambushing forces or explosives planted during the night.
