A man and woman in their 60s were killed in an accident between a car and a truck on Route 90, near the Arava Junction. MDA paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced them dead after resuscitation attempts. The truck driver sustained minor injuries. Paramedic Saar Shai and EMT Eliran Halfon reported: "The truck and car collided head-on, and the car suffered severe frontal damage. We were told that passersby extracted the trapped vehicle occupants. We found them without pulse and breathing, suffering from severe multi-system trauma. We performed advanced resuscitation procedures, but their injuries were critical and we had to pronounce them dead at the scene."
