Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar-Tal held a reprimand call with the chargé d'affaires of the Spanish Embassy in Israel, Francisca Pedros, following the shocking antisemitic display of burning an effigy of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that took place in the town of El Burgo. "The director general made clear that the display is horrifying and is a direct result of the systematic incitement by Pedro Sanchez's government against the State of Israel. No less outrageous is the fact that as of this moment, the Spanish government has not seen fit to condemn this blatant display of antisemitism. This conduct is completely unacceptable," it was stated.
