In a statement from Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar, it was noted that this measure "comes against the backdrop of teams and national squads being unable to host games in Israel due to the security situation." The statement also indicated that "the full eligibility criteria will be published along with the support test on the Ministry of Culture and Sports website."
