Opposition leader Yair Lapid welcomed the return of soldier Idan Alexander from captivity, writing 'Blessed be this moment, 58 more to go' alongside the hostages' symbol. Defense Minister Israel Katz also welcomed the development: 'I wholeheartedly welcome the return of IDF soldier Idan Alexander, and share in all of Israel's emotion seeing him reunited with his loving family who worked day and night for his return home. I thank the U.S. President and American administration for their actions and assistance in securing his release. We are committed to acting in every possible way until all hostages, our brothers and sisters, both living and deceased, return home.'
