At the national memorial ceremony of 'Komemiyut' and the October 7 families, a video was dedicated to the memory of Arieh and Eli Ozen, who were murdered in a shelter at Zikim Beach. Lihi, Eli's daughter and Arieh's granddaughter, recounted the moment she received the news, a week after October 7: 'They woke me with the news, my older sister woke me and said they found Dad, and I thought they found Dad. And then I understood they found Dad's body and not Dad. And I entered into it immediately, boom at age 12, and I knew nothing about my life.' Arieh's son Ron Ozen shared that twins were born to him, whom he named after his brother and father: 'They're not here to see this.'
