The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure reported that state revenues from natural resource royalties totaled about NIS 1.98 billion last year, of which about NIS 1.96 billion came from natural gas royalties. These figures bring the total cumulative collection since 2004 to more than NIS 17 billion, excluding taxes and levies. The Leviathan reservoir led revenues with about NIS 833 million, while Tamar yielded about NIS 675 million and Karish about NIS 433 million. However, the ministry noted a decline compared to last year due to the drop in the dollar, falling global oil prices and a roughly 3% decrease in production due to Operation Iron Swords and upgrade work at the reservoirs.
