UEFA (European Football Association) sent a reassuring message to the heads of the Israeli Football Association, stating that no emergency meeting has been planned and consequently none will take place regarding the status of Israeli football in the international arena. Additionally, the Qataris did not push for Israel's dismissal from UEFA, as their main influence is with FIFA, which recently opened its new headquarters in New York and is aware of the good relations between the U.S. and Israel. From FIFA's perspective, the issue of excluding the Israeli national team has not even been raised for discussion.
